“Twerking” aka “Booty Shaking” has become a worldwide phenomenon, if not obsession. Since the 1980’s, the Urban music scene in the USA has popularized this dance, bringing it to the mainstream. Since then, each generation has gifted their “Ode to the Derrière” with ever more impressive and technical dance tributes. What few people don’t know is that, like most good dance and music, the roots of the twerk lay deep in Africa. We can find similar pelvic dominated movements that result in the gyrating, popping and shaking of the posterior across North Africa as well as many cultures of Sub-Saharan Africa.

Devarya has many beautiful rooms to choose from to customize your perfect retreat experience. Room prices are shown in Euros (as prepared by Devarya). The prices shown are per person, per night and include all taxes and 3 meals per day, breakfast, lunch and dinner (Devarya can accommodate most dietary restrictions). You may check in for the retreat on November 13th and check out is November 21st. You may add extra days to your itinerary upon request with Devarya if rooms are available.
All rooms come equipped with a private bathroom, most with a private balcony, comfortable beds, spacious cupboards, fresh linen, a ceiling fan, an air conditioner and a mosquito net on request.
